Hello everyone at Rodmarton School. Well done on raising so much money at your Fete this year. As a past member of the Friends of Rodmarton school let me add how important and rewarding it is to get involved. I would urge any parents to have a go. Tom and Anna were watching a DVD of the 2001 Rodmarton School Sports Day only this week and it brought back lots of memories. They are enjoying their new schools here in New Zealand but they haven't forgotten their old friends. I know it is nearly the end of term so I hope you all have a good holiday.
REPLY FROM RODMARTON: Lovely to hear from you Mrs Hinton. It's nice to know that you still visit our website and thank you for your words of encouragement to prospective new 'friends'!

Also curious to see what the school looks like now - still recognisable after 24 years! I hope all pupils will have a fond memory of their time there. The website is lovely. When I left the school had just started using a Sinclair Spectrum. Congratulations and good luck with all the projects. Keep up the good work.

Hi guys, Jack and I were just googling Rodmarton School to relive old memories.

After leaving Rodmarton in 1996 we both went to Marling School before going our separate ways at uni.

Peter went to Loughborough Uni and studied Sports Science and English and is now working as Media Officer for British Triathlon.

Jack went to the University of Birmingham and studied History and Politics. He is now a training to be a publisher at a company in Minchinhampton (with aspirations for world domination).

We have just set up a Facebook group for alumni: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=21560927016

REPLY FROM RODMARTON: Great to hear from you guys. I'll rememer you to Mrs Boulton and Mrs Anderson, who would have still been working at the school all those years ago!

Hi Rodmarton!!! Cool site!! Hope you are well! Stroud High is alright, it's been so long since I got in touch! HOW much do I miss your work! We have our year 9 SATS coming up and it's so hard! We have so much revision and work, so if I were you, I'd make the most of not having lots to do while you still can! It's great fun though. (not the work-'cause that would be weird) I have to go to DT now - making clocks, yippee-do. I miss you all very much - and I hope to see some of you at the high school next september!! lots of love and hugs xxx Abby xxx

What a fantastic site! Well done on winning your award. I know how much time is spent creating and updating. Our school site is still in its infancy, but I may just have to poach some of your ideas! I really like the link to photos of your surroundings, and the huge amount of pictures. Fantastic! Well done.
REPLY FROM RODMARTON:
Many thanks for your praise. I hope to get out in the Spring and take some photos of the village with the trees in leaf, to add to our Rodmarton and environs page!

This is a great web site and reflects the excellence of the school generally. One small suggestion: why not list the term dates for the following school year? That was the reason I came to the site in the first place as I was trying to make some holiday plans and needed to know when my kids would or would not be at school.
REPLY FROM RODMARTON: Your wish is our command! I had been meaning to do this. I've now added a button on the left and included the current academic year's term dates as well as next year's.
