A Small School with B I G Ideas!

Welcome to our School website.  We hope you will find it useful and informative, both as an introduction to us and a continued resource.

We are a small, strong team with a very clear vision for the education we provide.

In our school:

  • all are safe and enjoy learning
  • there is collaborative learning both inside and outside the classroom
  • there is an emotional engagement in learning
  • there is a collective sense of competence and achievement
  • pupils feel stretched and creative with a sense of meaning and purpose in all their learning

We are very proud of our school, the pupils particularly so.  Do arrange to visit us by telephoning the office, and they will be delighted to show you around!

Rodmarton School is a small primary school set in a picturesque Cotswold village location.  We cater for children from 4 to 11 years of age, split into 3 classes.

We have a thriving, happy school, where we aim to foster every child's natural curiosity in the world around them.  Through a rich variety of experiences we aim to develop a love of learning that they will carry on with them through to adulthood.

Our excellent teaching staff is supported by classroom assistants in every class.  This, combined with small class sizes, ensures that all children get lots of individual support.

                Playing Field                                                              Rodmarton Village Hall

A hectare sports field at the back of the school is used for games, athletics and play and the spacious village hall next door is used for assemblies, physical education and drama.

In this school each child is appreciated and it is believed that every individual has an important part to play in the life of the school. There is strong emphasis on the partnership of parents and staff in order to provide all pupils with the best possible education.

There is a broad curriculum for every age group. National Curriculum subjects of Mathematics, English, Science, ICT, Design, Technology, History, Geography, Music, PE, Art and Religous Education are taught. The staff help children learn a wide range of skills such as self confidence, self esteem and adaptability.

In our school we want pupils to feel safe, secure, optimistic and aspirational.  They will be challenged, they will experience success, they will laugh, they will be encouraged to ask questions of themselves and others and reflect on the answers.
